Bing is a ground-breaking new children's television series. Celebrating the noisy, joyful, messy reality of pre-school life, Bing's stories are small, but they are full of drama; everyday dramas that all young children and the grown-ups in their lives will recognise.
Bing is energetic, playful and engaged with the world around him. As he encounters new experiences, a combination of enthusiasm and inexperience can sometimes lead to disappointment – but Bing can always count on Flop and his friends to help navigate his way.
Bing's message focuses on inclusivity and aims to portray a wide range of childhood experiences; the child characters are looked after by their own "grown-up" rather than a "mother", "father" or "parent" figure. Leaving the guardians' roles open-ended in this way helps to include young viewers with varying family structures. Each episode teaches a gentle lesson that lets its young characters learn life lessons in a safe and secure way, free from harm or ridicule. This is a crucial message from Bing - teaching children that parent/guardian figures are there to help, nurture and encourage, rather than be intimidating or fearful authority figures.
Join Bing and his friends Sula, Pando, Amma, Coco, Flop and Charlie as they play and learn from one another.
Produced by Acamar Films in collaboration with Dublin-based studio Brown Bag Films, Bing was adapted especially for television, from the original books by Ted Dewan. Bing is available to view on CBeebies, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and other digital platforms.
